HISTORY
History of the Creations

Humans rose from the apes under the watchful eye of the Creator and his daughter Gaeia. They lived alone on the planet for thousands of years reaching a level of technology almost to rival the powers of the creator himself. The technology was used to ill purposes and the humans almost destroyed themselves. Divine intervention interceded and two Gods and one Goddess descended to the Earth. They taught the world to live in peace, abandon technology and bask in the glory of existence and the radiant light of the Creator.

Generation and generations of humans lived and died in peace and tranquillity, until a warrior rose among them. Ares proclaimed himself the Creator and called all faithful humans to rally behind him. He said two of his children had betrayed him and only his true son Cyric was loyal. Only a few thousand humans flocked to Ares. Those humans who did not flock to him sought protection from the Goddess Gaeia. She left the people promising to end the war. Soon after she left, the great gathering of people was set upon by devils from the underworld that became known to them as Demons and Dark Elves. The vile creatures slaughtered thousand and thousand before they were finally turned back.

Ares' army grew as he conquered small lands. He taught the people to hate and fed many to the cannibalistic demons and dark elves. Fate twisted the dark elves and many defected to the woods, hunted by humans and by their own kind.

Gaeia returned with her lover Aros, Athena to teach the humans how to fight, and Mystra to teach them how to use magic. Gaeia turned her hands to the skies and the skies turned to metal and great hordes of dragons, great serpentine beasts, descended from the sky following the great god of dragons: Bahamut. Gaeia turned her hands to the ground and giants arose from the earth following their god Hiatea.

The army of Gaeia routed the army of dark elves, demons and humans amassed by Ares. Gaeia had mercy upon her brother and turned her armies back before complete annihilation.

Cyric's rage ignited under his sister's pity. He created the chromatic dragons to rule the skies and blessed their leader Tiamat with godhood. He created the dwarves a magic resistant race that harvested metals that could be made to arm his army with sharp weapons to pierce the sharp skin of dragons, giants and humans easily. He gave them a god Moradin. He took a human woman, mated with her, and through her agonizing death gave birth to the first titan. Cyric multiplied the titan's numbers to combat the giants of his sister's army. He created the God of Power: Odin to help him rule his minions. He created the God of Wine Bacchus. Cyric created Strife from his own nightmares and set his terror upon all creatures to give them fear. He gave a human assassin, Bhaal, godhood for his vile and treacherous ways. Cyric created the trolls; creatures that could regenerate wounds and body parts. Bhaal capture a human sorceress and Cyric imprisoned her, giving her godhood. He forced her to teach his minions of magic. Cyric gave his favorite jester godhood, and Loki the god of mischievous was born. Loki escaped Cyric's ruling hand and wandered the world creating chaos. Loki twisted the dwarves, and the kender were born; A fearless race of thieves, but their wanderlust made them unprofitable to war. Loki chased down a group of the exiled elves for two hundred years, killing most. The remaining elves were soon known as quicklings. Small creatures so fast, even a god had trouble striking them down. Loki tortured many dwarves with his own magic. The dwarves swore vengeance and learned the ways of magic. They became known as the gnomes. Cyric's army descended upon Gaeia's recovering army. His army of demons, trolls, humans, dark elves, titans and dragons ripped through Gaeia's humans, giants and chromatic dragons. Over half the world's population was annihilated in the first two hours of battle.

Odin and Bacchus could no longer endure the slaughter of innocents and turned to Gaeia's side. Slowly the humans, giants, and metallics turned the tide of the war and Cyric retreated fearful of mutual destruction. Gwydion escape during the battle and found her lover Mystra. Together they created the Solars, a heavenly creature that despised evil. They created the shape shifters to infiltrate Cyric's army and spy on their war efforts. The shapeshifters penetrated Cyric's army, returned, and reported that he was amassing his numbers to finally crush Gaeia's army. Mystra took the shapeshifters aside and made them forget their powers. The shapeshifters lived on, unaware of their powers until hundred's of years later.

Gwydion created the nymphs. A creature with such immense magical abilities they were a match for the weakened gods and goddess. She gave them to her lover Mystra.

Thor the god of thunder appeared to help the forces of good. Shiva appeared bring with her the flows of ice. The oxidized dragons took up camp with the forces of good, sent by their creator Crom.

Gaeia amassed her army for the final battle. The world's population was one-tenth its former glory. The two armies crashed into each other. Fire, ice, and lighting tore through the sky. The skies and ground was filled with death. Creation was on the threshold of destruction. Loki saw his own destruction and Fate, the god of Fate and destiny, twisted the mischievous god. Loki freed the Creator from his prison.

And time stood still.

The Creator's power was more immense that anyone remembered. Perhaps he was always strong enough to leave his prison. The Creator banished his children to the heavens. He gave all his creatures free will to deny the will of the Gods himself included. He blessed many creatures with a small touch of immortality, so time could teach them. He forgave his creatures and removed the fear, hate, and motivation set in their minds by the lesser Gods. The great armies disbanded. The creatures large and small began their own lives. And the creator vanished. History of the Gods.

Before time, space, and matter there was nothing. From this void of loneliness rose the Creator. He created matter and anti-matter. He created Fate and Physics. He created galaxies, solar systems, and planets. He gave matter energy and put it into motion.

And he was still lonely.

From his own body he created his daughter Gaeia, gave her a planet, and populated it with archaic life forms: one-celled creatures. His daughter helped the earth grow, watching for millions of years as each life form built off the next and fish came out of the sea and grew into mammals and birds. She watched as the apes began to use tools and build fires and she watched as intelligence ignited in man. She watched unbiased until man began destroying himself.

Gaeia called upon her father to help the humans. The Creator created two sons, Cyric and Crom. He sent them to Earth to help the humans, to teach them. Together Cyric, Crom, and Gaeia appeared on the world and brought peace to the land.

Gaeia was the essence of beauty and the humans loved her as much as they loved the Creator himself. Crom wandered the world and kept to himself as he studied the beauty of the world: life and death, growth and decay.

Cyric grew jealous of his older sister. He hated the way the humans followed her, and worshipped her.

War of the Gods
Thousands of years passed and Cyric's jealousy turned to rage, anger, and finally hate. Cyric went to the Creator and told him of his own loneliness and desire for friends. The Creator blessed all his children with the power to create lesser gods and other creatures. He told his children to create something new, you must sacrifice part of yourself and thus grow weaker.

Cyric created his lover: Sekhmet. He brought death to life and Myrkul was born. He brought the humans together and found Ares, a natural leader and murderous man. He gave him godhood and bade him to conquer humankind.A great war spread across the land. Death conquered under the unmerciful hand of Ares. The dark armies of Ares slaughtered the peaceful inhabitants and rivers of blood sweep across the humans.

Gaeia came to her brother and tried to stop him. Cyric told his sister he would stop, if she would give all her power to him. She reluctantly agreed, hoping her love with bring her brother back to her. Cyric imprisoned her and took away her beauty. He created Lloth and her minions and the demons. The dark elves were born and taught to hate. They poured from the underworld in a killing rage following the twisted underworld demons.

The army of Ares crushed the human gathering and slaughtered any survivors they found.

The Creator came to the world and told Cyric to stop, or he would be destroyed. Cyric stood before his father and brought his lesser god with him.

Together they imprisoned the Creator, who was now weakened by giving so much to his children. Crom came forth from his wanderlust and freed his sister. Crom gave his sister most of his power, to balance the world and again he disappeared. Gaeia returned to the humans and created Aros, Athena and Mystra to teach the humans who fought Cyric about love, war and magic. She created the metallic dragons to rule the skies, and the giants to rule the earth. Hiatea and Bahamut, the greatest of these creatures she gave godhood.

Cyric created Bacchus and Odin to give himself more power and influence. He brought forth the dwarves to harvest his metals, and gave the dwarf Moradin godhood. He created the chromatic dragons and gave godhood to their leader: Tiamat. Strife was created and given dominion over dreams. Bhaal, the most viscous human assassin was given godhood for his vile ways. Cyric created the Titans to fight the giants, gave Gwydion godhood, and made her teach his minions of magic.

Crom wandered the world, watching, and learning. He created Nanna, put her on the moon to record history, and gave her a companion Fate, to control fate and weave fabric of destiny to serve balance. He created Sune to help all creatures love each other. He created the oxidized dragons to help his sister and gave them a god: Rusty. He gave earth its own guardians to protect itself. He gave thunder an avatar: Thor. He gave the great glaciers a daughter: Shiva.

The second great war began. Cyric was crushing Gaeia's army and slaughtering anything and everything. Odin and Bacchus turned to Gaeia's side and turned the war to a stalemate, Cyric fled to amass a greater army. Gwydion escape from Cyric and created magical beasts with the help of Mystra to help defeat Cyric. Cyric gave his favorite jester Loki godhood, to bring the world to further ruin. Loki escaped Cyric and wandered the world creating his own mayhem.

The creatures of the world were near annihilation, and the Gods and Goddess were growing very weak creating their armies.

The two armies clashed for the third and final time. The world was on the verge of destruction. Crom went to Loki and told him of the Creator imprisoned by Cyric and the imminent destruction of the world only moments away.

Loki, sympathetic to the Creator and twisted by Fate's destiny for him, tricked Cyric and freed his grandfather. The Creator, in a holy wrath, turned his life force into power and was about to strike down his children, but Crom came forth, pleaded for his brothers and sisters, and offered himself as sacrifice.

The Creator's rage abated before his son's love for his sister, brother and all the creatures of the world. The Creator stayed his hand of destruction and was merciful upon his children. He took the power of creation from them and banished them to the heavens where they could only advise through their faithful servants and bestow minimal gifts and influence on the world. He allowed Crom to roam the world freely.

With the Creator's last breath, he gave the world an avatar, his last son Paladine, to let his holy wrath live on and protect all of his creation, and each creature was given freewill to deny any god or goddess dominion over their souls.

Then the Creator's life force vanished.
